Children are more successful
in school when parents and teachers work together. Together we can build trust
and make the school a safe learning environment. We must work together as a
team to make sure your child is:
- Completing homework-check his/her student planner
- Reading for at least 20 minutes every night
- Respects adults and other students at all times
As a parent, to help your child see parent-teacher teamwork in action you
can:
- Communicate frequently - call or write the teacher often. Let your child
deliver the written note.
- Present a united front - whenever possible - support the teachers
policies. If you have concerns, talk privately with the teacher, try to speak
positively with the teacher, try to speak positively about school-related
situations in front of your children
- Show appreciation for the teacher - talk about what your child has learned
this year from his/her teacher - Maybe she learned some interesting facts
about another country or how to multiply.
Together we can move Heberle to an achieving school.
Thank you for your support.
